The da Vinci codeThe key to the greatest secret on

which mankind fought for centuries, can be found.

In the novel "the da Vinci Code" author gathered the whole experience of investigations and

put it in the main character, a Harvard Professor of iconography and history

religion by the name of Robert Langdon. A plot of the current history was the night

call povestiri Langdon murder in the Louvre Museum, the old Museum curator. Near

The idea of the novel is inspired by the book Michael Baigent, Richard Leigh and Henry Lincoln, Holy blood, Holy Grail", published in 1982. It should be noted that the name of one of the main characters of the book, pour dibinga (Leigh Teabing), is the contamination of the names Lee (Leigh) and Magenta (Baigent is an anagram Teabing). Subsequently, Lee and Baigent sued brown, arguing that "the da Vinci Code" is not an independent work, and the artistic version of their own books, but in 2006 the court rejected their claim. Archbishop Angelo Amato urged all Catholics to boycott the film "the da Vinci Code". Amato called brown's book as "stridently anti-Christian full of slander, crime and historical and theological errors concerning Jesus, the gospel and hostile to the Church". Angelo Amata is the second person in the Vatican after the Pope. Amato said that the book written by Dan brown, was extremely successful in the world partly due to "extraordinary cultural poverty of a large number of Christian believers".

Since the release in 2003 to may 2006 the da Vinci Code" and four other books brown, also included in the list of 15 of last year's American bestsellers, brought the author of more than 260 million dollars. It may be noted that during the same period, put together the first five books of Harry Potter brought Joanne K. Rowling only about 59 million dollars.
