The film won seven nominations for Oscars, including best film of the year. Shawshank - the name of the prison. And if you are not yet 30, and you get a life then get ready for the worst: you exit Sosenka!

As in "Sosenka", the hero of the novel of Dumas falls in long-term imprisonment, and, having quite a daring escape, finds the treasure, which he found in his place of confinement.




- The role of Tommy Williams was originally written for brad pitt.




Painting 1946 with Rita Hayworth and watched the prisoners, is called "Hilda".

Despite the fact that in movie theaters, the film has collected a lot of money, he became one of the highest-grossing releases on video and later on DVD.
