Victory Day parade will not be

Victory Day parade will not be may 9, 1945, Zakonchilas the most terrible of the Great Patriotic war. But, while we celebrate this Great holiday of may 9, in most European countries and in the United States and great Britain Victory in World war II is celebrated on may 8, when in 1945, 22:43 CET was signed unconditional surrender of Nazi Germany. And Moscow, because of the time difference, the capitulation was signed at 00:43 the next day - may 9.

It is interesting to know that during the Berlin operation, in 1945, were involved in more than 2, 5 million soldiers and officers, 6250 tanks and self-propelled guns, 7,500 aircraft. The losses were enormous: according to official data, during the day the Red Army lost more than 15 thousand soldiers and officers. All Soviet troops in Berlin operation lost 352 thousand people, including 78 thousand people dead.

Victory day of the Soviet Union over Nazi Germany in the great Patriotic war was and remains one of the most revered holidays in the countries of the former Soviet Union. But, unfortunately, in the hero cities (Kiev, Odessa, Sevastopol, Kerch), as well as in Lviv, Vinnytsia, Dnipropetrovsk, Chernihiv this day will only solemn procession combined battalions of troops of the garrison and military bands, and the parade and inspection of the equipment will not.
