Philosophy of paintings by Vasily Kikinev is in the search itself. He tries to understand who he is and where his roots, because these are the most important issues for Ukraine, and everything else is useless platitudes.
In the main exhibition Kikinev consists of landscapes and still lifes - favorite genre masters. In his paintings he drew attention to the simple, everyday things that the other didn't even pay attention - this is the emotional sincerity of the Creator.
In simple motives he finds poetic, expressive details that are astonishingly embodiment complicated and at the same time easy to read philosophy - a kind of artistic pantheism. The basic postulates of this mentality - the love and admiration of the world.
Basil Kikinev many years was not taken pioneering experiments, confessing classic and verified by years of artistic technique. But in recent time the master was fascinated by the search itself, which was inspired by the creative principles of the Impressionists. Works 2000-ies carry echoes of a new world Outlook wizard: color transparent light, bright, and smear relaxed. The artist is now interesting to reflect not specific landscape motif or a flower for him was more important philosophical understanding and a color impression...
