Ilya Lagutenko: "I'm looking for my space"

Ilya Lagutenko:

It is open to people, cultures, and ideas. He likes rasmijoti border between East and West, nature and civilization, fictional and real...

Who am I?

"I'm happy, smiling, kind, understanding person who wants to know more of this world and still find it the perfect place for itself on earth, about which you can say, "Here it is, my Cup of tea! “ The place in which will be good not only for me but also all my family and friends. Relationship is the most important part of my life. And without communication with those who are dear to me, I could not live a single day on the beautiful island. I am a very responsible person. And in a sense, the pedant. But I always fight the captain and the young's modulus (by the way, my stepfather, whom I owe much, - captain). Junge want to do everything their own way, be a daredevil, and captain need to have everything in its place and on schedule. I'm a fan of discipline, but sometimes allow myself to breathe calmly and relax".

"I always have something to do"

"I grew up mostly with my grandmother and grandfather. They were both teachers. And grandpa - the rector of the far Eastern Institute of technology - pedagogical gene was so strong that he could teach anything, not even possessing the object. He taught me English instead of bedtime stories read entertaining books. In our family it was believed that the man who has nothing to do - the worst that you can imagine. Work, self-education is good. Idleness is bad. With these simple rules I grew up".

"Painting is my personal diary"

"I've always painted, but over time became very zealous about his paintings. I put in them so much that I then very difficult to share with someone these works. Everything else for me means little. I can easily change houses, apartments, easily part with things. But the pictures can't even give to friends. This is my own world, personal journal that no one wants to show. I'm not prone to some genre, style. Each work is a bunch of emotions, where I don't care about the techniques or ideas... It's my secret that I do not want to flaunt it".

Ilya Lagutenko:

"In six years I became a different person"

"Before the age of five or six I was very grumpy and cranky child. Could jump in the middle of the street on the pavement, if something did not happen in my opinion. Could run away from the doctor and to be locked in the bathroom. But six years old, something happened - as if a switch in his head turned. I distinctly remember how suddenly is adopted: all I've done is wrong, this is some stupid things. And I decided to become a different person - a serious, reasonable... of Course, I came to this unconsciously, but later grew up responsible and understanding the child".

"The reality we create for yourself"

"I went to normal, musical and art schools, and in their free time doing what he wanted. Wrote books and magazines, and organized charts fictional records... In my dreams, fantasies lived characters, collected from different worlds. Was the image of the astronaut-traveler - it's something out of science fiction, the future. The image of a medieval pirate-Navigator (sailors in Vladivostok is a usual thing) and the image of the actor-musician of the corner of your eye you could see somewhere in the movie. Now I understand that the children's ideas arose in my life today. Say that we should live in the real world. But, in my opinion, the line between real and fictional is very conditional. The reality you create it yourself".

"About the father I know the most important thing"

"My father died when I was six months. From me never hid the truth: I knew where he was buried, we came to visit him. Dad, like his father, was an architect, and I still read with interest and browse through the archives. People tell me that dad was exceptionally good and wonderful person, funny and very fond of my mother. To me, this is probably the most important thing".

Ilya Lagutenko:

"Friends with hygiene since childhood"

"My grandmother were serious about hygiene. In every trip she gave me a silver spoon and said, "Spoon café berry. You never know where they were lying! Do you have any - that's it and eat! “ For the same reason I did not get to try as many pieces of candy on a stick, as you wanted, because my grandmother told me, as Roma lick these sweets, so that they Shine. I grew up - and interest to the candy was gone. But silver spoon with me always".

"In Hong Kong I disappear"

"I like well-organized cities. And Hong Kong has converged all: landscape-landscape and civilization, multinational and multicultural society, and the East, which to me something similar. This city, whom I admire and who often return can go there just like that. Knowledge of the language allows me to dissolve in it and feel comfortable. Although I am well adapted to any reality".

"Mumiy Troll" is a milestone of life"

"I never put my musical creativity to the fore, because it is not very serious about yourself as a musician, author-performer. This is what I love to do and that I pretty well, but there are a million other things I like to do. Never in my life thought that our group should not be taken lightly. But it is considered, it is discussed, and my songs have become a landmark of not only my life, but for many other people. We managed to convey to the listener their creativity, and this is probably my greatest achievement".

Ilya Lagutenko:

"It's easier for me to be the son of another"

"The childhood of my son Igor somehow very quickly passed. Surprisingly, but now it helps me in some business matters. I have always wanted to brotherly and friendly relations with him - probably, I'm so easy. Although, of course, tried to impose on him some of their own interests, ideas - after all, you want it to, at least, was no worse than yourself. Want it too, as soon as they felt responsible for their actions. I was taught that: go with the boys to play with matches, hay to burn? Go, only to be responsible for the burnt barn will be himself. I hope I managed to convey to his son this quality".

"Dersu Uzala" shocked"

"The film by Japanese Director Akira Kurosawa I looked in seven years, and he made me a very strong impression. I painted tigers, hunter, traveler Arsenyev and was in the forest... this contemplative paintings has its own magic. People from nature and man from civilization - they are looking for a compromise and try to understand each other. Me, this topic is still stirring. Why is nature, alive and real, perceived by us as something alien, as a gun or a TV - like the real thing, "our"? I always wanted to find the magic balance between artificial and natural is to be Dersu, and Arsenium at the same time".

"I wanted to understand how the world works Kiss"

"In the USSR in this group was the image of people not of this world. Fantastic characters, who chose for enemies: here is an example of what shouldn't be. And I immediately wanted not to become them, but to get into this world and to understand how it works. To see what lies behind the masks. I quickly realized that this clowns and that their music I don't very much like. But the game that they invented to be fun for them and a huge number of people".
