Designer from Belgium RAF Simons appointed art Director at Christian Dior, according to an official statement from the leadership of the French fashion house. The transition Simons at Christian Dior informed sources in the fashion industry predicted back in December of 2011, but officially, his appointment was only announced on April 9.
RAF Simons will meet at Christian Dior for the collection of high fashion, pret-a-porter, and a line of women's accessories. The first collection of Haute couture, prepared by Rafa-Simons for Christian Dior will be shown in Paris in July 2012.
On the post of art Director of Christian Dior's RAF Simons has replaced John Galliano, who was dismissed in February 2011 for anti-Semitic remarks. Insults visitors of one of the Parisian café designer in September was sentenced to two fines totaling six thousand euros. At Dior, John Galliano worked since 1996.
Prior to joining Christian Dior RAF Simons was the creative Director of Jil Sander. This fashion house he has worked since 2005.
