We are not just talking about what words and phrases it is simply unacceptable to talk to their children. Comparisons with other guys, senseless bans, terrible "prophecies" about what life is pain that then everything will be much harder - all this not only hurts our children in the heart and becomes a belief. In addition, there are very harmless in our opinion phrases that children interpreted quite differently, and it is also desirable never to hear from their parents.
What phrases have a dual interpretation for children?
"It's very expensive"
When you tell a child that something is too expensive for you, he, in turn, interprets this as the inability to be happy without money.
Instead, tell the child that you have at home so a lot of similar toys that just makes no sense to buy new. Isn't it better to try something to improve old toys together or create new ones with their hands.
"Share your toys! "
When the baby hears from you in the form of tone: "are You greedy? Share your toys! they interpret this alleged request, such as "urgently give their toys! " Instead, tell the child that, for example, this boy really wants to play this machine, but its him not, let him play, please, and you will return it to you.
"Think before you speak! "
When you pronounce these words the child understands them as "don't want to hear you".
So try better to say that you're glad that the kid came to you to talk, but do you think its expression rude and ask him to be softer in the conversation.
"Yes don't worry so much, everything will be fine"
As adults, we forget how hard we seemed even the slightest problem in childhood. And now, when the child comes out of the difficulty, it's time to think about it. Therefore, if the baby will turn to you with your problem, no need to make fun of her and call a trifle, better tell that you know your child, and ask to share their experiences.
