The protagonist of this film adaptation of the cult computer game, the young Prince Dastan always defeated enemies in battle, but lost the Kingdom because of the insidious wiles of the courtier. Now Dastan have to steal from the hands of villains powerful magical artifact that can turn back time and make its owner the master of the world. To help defeat the enemies Dastan will help his brilliant skills with melee weapons, as well as remarkable ability to acrobatics and juggling.





Interesting facts


The first poster of the painting appeared in the movie "Shopaholic" by the same producer Jerry Bruckheimer.


- The movie "Prince of Persia: the Sands of time" based on the eponymous computer game company Ubisoft.


- Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan refused the title role in the film, which later went to Jake Gyllenhal.


In February 2008 the Iranian star Golshifte farahani, along with Gemma Arterton was invited to London for trial on the role of Tamina, but was arrested at the airport by Iranian authorities because of his involvement in the film by Ridley Scott's "body of lies" (2008). For this actress was forbidden to leave the country within six months.


- Rey-Phillip Santos was replaced by actor Toby Cabella due to a motorcycle accident during location filming.

- Crew in Morocco consisted of 1350 people, including crew, actors. More than half of 800 people, was represented by the local population. With regard to 500 people who worked on the film during post-production period, the total number of the crew was 1850 people.


In order to clear a spot on serpents and Scorpions, was hired by a local professional. It can be easily noticed on a t-shirt with a funny inscription: "snake one".

Consultant on parkour on the set was a Frenchman David Belle, who, in fact, is the inventor of this sport.


- The exterior of the city Alamut was built around the ancient 700-year-old wall in the village of Tamesloht, 20 kilometres South-West of Marrakech. For the construction of the artist and production designer wolf Kruger took about 48 kilometers of pipes for scaffolding and 400 tons of gypsum. In the construction was involved 350 people.


- Colorful frescoes and murals that decorated the set, were drawn within 7 weeks. The layout of the East gate of Alamut was built under the direction of wolf Kruger in pavilion No. 7 at Pinewood Studios in London.
