Diet on proteins more efficiently than carbohydratesAs shown by a study by Australian scientists from the University of Sydney, protein diet can achieve almost twice the best results compared with a diet rich in carbohydrates.


Researchers have figured out how diet, exercise and behavior changes were reflected on the weight 71 women 18-25 years with overweight and obesity during the year.


The study participants randomly put on a diet rich in protein, or a diet rich in carbohydrates. In General, both diets had the same energy value, the concentration of fat and saturated fat. All participants met with a nutritionist at least once a month, and went every day for 30 minutes.


After 12 months all women recorded a significant reduction in weight. However, woman sitting on the protein diet, threw almost twice more pounds than women who adhered to the dietary carbohydrate. Also the participants from the first group stated that longer felt saturation, noted the positive influence of the diet on self-esteem, and they have not decreased iron levels.
