Scientists from the American College of sports medicine conducted four studies in which they compared the rate of recovery of muscle after prolonged physical exertion in the use of various drinks. Assessing the findings, the researchers found that after eating cocoa muscle athletes were recovered faster than when using other fluids.




It was found that cocoa contains necessary for muscle recovery, protein, and carbohydrates that supply energy supply of muscle tissue. In addition, the consumption of milk allows you to resupply water and various ions (potassium, calcium and magnesium), which are secreted by sweat glands during exercise.




Earlier, Australian researchers concluded that drinking sweet coffee well facilitates muscle recovery. Caffeine helps muscles to absorb glucose and significantly increases the rate of recovery of glycogen stores in the muscles after strenuous exercise.
