Strudel with cherries


Strudel with cherriesThis magical cherry strudel to cook very simply and quickly and is surprisingly tasty.



Ingredients


The dough




- 125 g flour + a little more for kneading


- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil


- pinch of salt


- 100 ml of warm water




Stuffing




- 600 g cherry


- 100 g almonds (or a similar quantity of crushed crackers)


- 50 g raisins


- 50 g walnuts


- 2 tbsp. dark rum or brandy


- 2 tbsp. sugar




- sugar


- ice cream for filing


Cooking method



Prepare the dough. In a bowl screened flour, salt, in the centre make a depression. Pour oil and water. Knead homogeneous dough. Put on a clean table with about 1 tablespoon of the flour, put the dough and begin to knead. Knead vigorously until the dough becomes soft, supple and completely non-sticky. The dough should not be too steep! Put it in a bowl, cover with cling film and put into the fridge for 30 minutes.


Raisins pour rum and leave at room temperature. The grind almonds in a coffee grinder or blender. Cherries, thawed and lightly squeezed. The juice is drained.




Remove the dough from the refrigerator.




On the table lay a kitchen towel (of course, clean and evenly preputium flour. In the centre lay the dough. Begin to roll out the dough to fit towels. Once longer to roll out will be impossible set aside a rolling pin and begin to stretch the dough with your hands. If the dough is kneaded properly - it will be very good to reach. So do not be afraid, but do not make abrupt movements. Well-stretched dough should be very thin. Through the dough should x-ray pattern on the fabric. If you are already well-Packed by hand - you can roll out and without towels, but it is much easier.




Begin to lay out the stuffing. Immediately assume that the edges should be indented about an inch, plus about 15 cm free test on the side opposite from which you will begin to collapse strudel.




Sprinkle the dough with ground almonds or breadcrumbs. Put the raisins and chopped walnuts. Put cherries, sprinkle it with sugar. Using towels begin to collapse the roll, starting from the narrow end. Fully collapsible, side edges zasypaniem.




Put in a greased baking dish, brush with melted butter and sprinkle with sugar. Bake in a preheated 180 degree oven for about 40 minutes. Remove, allow to stand for ten minutes, sprinkle with powdered sugar (optional). Cut and serve warm with a scoop of ice cream.
