Marmalade lemon with pink pepper


Marmalade lemon with pink pepperIn the days of posts Orthodox people do not eat dairy products and eggs (not to mention the meat). However, there are many delicious desserts that you can enjoy even in the days of fasting.



Ingredients:


- 700 g lemons


- sugar


to 15 g (1 sachet) gelling agents for jam


- Sol


- 1 teaspoon pink peppercorns





Method of preparation:


Lemons how to wash the brush under hot water, Pat dry. Cut in half lengthwise, then each half lengthwise into 4-5 parts. Remove the seeds.




Add slices of lemon in a saucepan, cover with cold water. Put the skillet over high heat. Bring it to a boil and immediately drain in a colander. Again pour over slices of cold water, bring to boil and boil for 5 minutes, then drain in a colander.




In a saucepan, mix sugar, gelling agent and salt. Put slices of lemon, stir, cover and leave for 1 hour. Then put on fire and with continuous stirring, bring to boil. Add pink pepper. Cook for another 5 minutes. Remove from heat, allow to cool.
