But there are people who under no circumstances would not agree to change your profession. For them, maybe except some professional maneuvering, the search for new niches within the same specialty. These people are the backbone, the Golden Fund of any profession. And even forcibly changing specialty, they continue to keep the bar high. Midlife crisis


There is a hypothesis, according to which a person can engage in the same activity no more than 8-10 years, then get bored and stops to bring satisfaction.




Therefore, professional crises occur with a certain periodicity. Often a midlife crisis, coming at 35-40, coincides with another professional milestone. And then many very successful people are trying to radically change his life: businessmen, as a rule, open a new business or pass the reins hired managers, and sometimes looking for new interests and out-of-business managers change the activity or move to another company. Sometimes the crisis comes at the moment when the specialist understands that he reached the peak of their career and grow up already, seemingly, nowhere. People who can control themselves and the situation, the crisis usually is not protracted.




Those who rely on the decisions of other people, fate and other beyond their factors, the crisis may last for years and even lead to complete loss of professional identity. Money factor of professional success becomes an end in itself. The main danger in this case is that, once on this path, a person loses the understanding of professional values. And even changing the work on the more interesting or significant, it will not be able to perform its functions properly, and hence to achieve real professional success.





Someone is always out of step


All of the above does not mean that the lack of career growth and professional success should be viewed as a life collapse. There are lots of other ways for self-realization. If your promotion has slightly slowed down or stopped altogether, this does not mean that we need urgently to change their job or even profession.




We should not forget about the so-called career horizontally - professional development. Besides, life is not limited by the performance of professional functions. Sometimes it is good just to do some interesting work, for example, learn to ski, scuba dive, to embroider, to plant cacti. Having achieved success in the chosen path, too, can feel quite an accomplished man.




Changes in society in the last decade, the rapid development of business, the labour market has led to a change of priorities. "Die" some professions, there are other, traditional spheres of activity are undergoing significant changes. Features so many eyes run.
