Digging underground, discovered archaeological masterpiece



Archaeologists have discovered in the Rome auditorium, built in 1900 years ago, presumably by order of the Emperor Hadrian for public readings and discussions.




The opening has already been called by scientists the most important finding in the Italian capital for several decades.




Marble slabs of ancient buildings were discovered during construction works at the new station of the Rome metro in the city centre.
