After giving birth, women are smarterScientists from the National Institute of mental health in Maryland found that the second-fourth week of pregnancy, and after three or four months after childbirth observed increase in gray matter in certain areas of the brain.


This discovery is a sort of sensation, as was previously believed that the human brain stops growing at the age of 15-16.




This effect, scientists associated with hormonal attack, which exposed a woman's body during pregnancy and childbirth. It also emerged that begin to grow areas of the brain that controls emotions, sense of responsibility and ability to make decisions quickly.




Scientists believe that increasing the intelligence and responsibility of the woman became a mother, is not only because of social traditions, but also because of the growth of certain areas of the brain.
