Speech development in a child after a year

Speech development in a child after a yearTypically, in a year and a half, many children are beginning to talk. Their speech contains either single words or simple sentences consisting of two or three words. Most often, these words are still not correctly coordinated. Not all the sounds and words kid pronounces correctly. The task of parents is to expand the vocabulary of the kid, teach him how to correctly pronounce words correctly construct phrases.

What you can do?

There is one

interesting and simple game. You tell the kid, "tell Mama"" (this is the word he / she can cast) and wait until he will say. If he did not understand what he should do, you turn to the Pope or to the grandmother and say the same phrase. Dad, of course, does what you asked, that is, the word says "Mama". Then again, I turn to the child with the same request. He will probably say, what you are asking. Then you again ask him to say the same word or any other of his active vocabulary. If he did not understand, start all over again after some time or on another day. In the result, the baby will understand what you want from him and begin to repeat the words that you are asking.

First

ask him to speak only those words that he is free to say. Let them get used to this game and easily blurts out the word. Then start typing a new word (for one game or several times the same thing). First, a few familiar words, then new. Moreover, the word need to find what the baby will be easy to pronounce, similar to those he knows or consists of the same sounds that he can. So you will be able to gradually expand the active vocabulary of the baby.

When the baby utters the words, make sure that it would not confuse the order of the syllables in the word, pronounced "real" words, but not lightweight or modified options. This is a very nice sounds, but the kid can permanently lock in the development of speech, if you will not improve or will be touched by them wrong words. Each correctly pronounced the word you want to correct: just say it correctly and ask them to repeat.

A very beneficial effect on the development of speech

the concurrent development of oral and written speech i.e. simultaneous teaching speaking and reading. When a child sees a word he sees, from which warehouse it is, it is easier for him to realize his mistake. He will read the words in warehouses, even those words that were not uttered (especially if it's familiar warehouses, which he had seen him in familiar words).

When the baby begins to speak in sentences, be sure to correct it if it is not correctly pronounce word endings or wrong has words in a sentence. Just do not say that he is doing something wrong. Just say the phrase correctly and ask him to repeat.

In addition, teach your child to understand your speech, that is,

expand its passive dictionary. Teach him to understand your orders, requests, questions. If the baby does not understand something, then Popasnaya he signs, show yourself what you want to achieve or have an older child or another family member to fulfill your request in the presence of the baby. The child is able to understand and comply with all such requests, as "give", "bring", "get", "put", "show", "go", "get", "come", "find", "sit", "down", "eat", "drink", "close", "open", and many others.

Baby you can and should ask different questions despite the fact that not all of them, he can answer (words or display). Still, it activates its thinking. It can be such questions as: "Where? " (a particular object or person, where the baby was, where he took and so on), "Where? " (where to put, where to go, and so on), "What is it? ""Who is this? " and other questions. Very useful for language development of babies - talk on the phone, when it is impossible just to show signs (although children try to do it when talking on the phone). We must warn grandmother or someone else from the family that they "will call" kid. Let them ask him who it is calling, what he does, how he feels and so on. Simple questions that the baby will be able to answer those simple words, which he owns. The more often your child will talk on the phone, the better.

Expand the number of names and concepts that knows the kid. Show and call him all the items in the house, see picture books and albums (more about this in the lectures on reading and encyclopedic knowledge). Let's generalized the names of items - furniture, dishes, clothes, figures, etc. And the specific names of each item. With it laid out the cards with pictures of different objects in groups. Do it yourself, asking leading questions and most of them call themselves pick a card. After some time the kid wants to join your game. And it doesn't matter that it will correctly spread the cards, encourage any activity.

Introduce children to the concepts

"such", "as", "not so", "same", "different". Teach him to navigate in space, show and tell, what is "top", "bottom", "right", "left", "middle", "inside", "outside", near", "far" close", "high", "low", "close", "next", and so on. Of course, the kid did not immediately understand all this. But it's not important. Don't test it, just again and again all this show and call in your own words. Sooner or later he will figure it out.

Read baby as many books of children's poems, jokes, short stories. If the kid can't listen to the end of all that is written on the page, and urges you flip it, don't fight him, he's still more interesting pictures. In this case, read only one or two lines on each page and at once her turn to keep the interest of your child to communicate with the book. Or just show and tell one or two pictures on the page. Can combine all three ways of reading at different times: all text, some text, only pictures. Sometimes you can ask the kid to show you a familiar picture or, if he can, to try to say what is pictured there. But if the kid is silent, do not insist, name the picture themselves.

When the baby began to see pictures in books start to tell you more about what makes a given character: "rabbit run", "boy eats" and so on. Pay attention not only to actions, but also on the emotions of the character: "smile", "cry", "surprised" and so on. Tell the kid that surrounds one or another character, what items he has in his hands or next to it. In short, from the simple naming of a character each time move on to a more detailed discussion of the pictures. Encourage your child to repeat your spoken words to the images at your request.

Gradually, from simple examination of the books should go to this read. Kids most like to listen to poetry. Short poems they quickly memorize. Only in any case it is not necessary to ask the child to tell you their order. It usually beats all hunting. The kid himself will "help" you when you will read it, pronouncing the last word in the line (before the last word take a short pause). After some time he will be able to pronounce half of the lines or the entire next line.

Sing baby songs. As a rule, little kids love to listen to them and soon begin to sing along (at first only motive, then the words).
