Each of us knows how useful vegetables and fruits and how important it is to include them in your daily diet. But perhaps not everyone knows what fruits and vegetables are the most useful?
According to the study, beloved by Europeans carrots and oranges, it is not necessary to eat every day. Their features are greatly exaggerated.
Instead, researchers are advised to pay attention to less obvious products, for example, sweet potato, papaya and cabbage.
They contain more phytochemicals components that improve the health of the eyes, bones, heart and brain, enhance immunity and reduce the risk of cancer, diabetes and cardiovascular disease.
For comparison: papaya contains 15 times more beta-cryptoxanthin (a form of vitamin A) than a glass of orange juice.
Dr. Keith Randolph argues that it is not so much the quantity as the quality and variety of fruits and vegetables in the diet is important. Agrees with him and Dr Emma Williams from the British nutrition: "no product can be a super product if it is not part of a balanced and varied diet".
