The clinic staff at the University of San Carlos studied data on 150 patients 18-65 years who have had an ischemic stroke. The control group consisted of 300 people. All participants underwent electrocardiography, echocardiography, CT and MRI. Using a special questionnaire was established level of stress.
The analysis showed that the increased risk of stroke associated with psychological factors:
1. The presence of stressful events in the past;
2. Competitive and aggressive type of human behavior;
3. Symptoms of depression.
According to the authors of the study, the identification of these factors will help you to timely identify risk and take preventive measures.
