Personal development: do we need that?

Some time the subject of personal development suddenly stopped me to take.


Not that I have evolved to some perfect degree - just, apparently, it's time for other tasks and chores: children grow, they need a warm house, big house, a roomy machine.




But recently one of my friend complained to my husband: "He's such a poor person, I was with him for so hard".




And I wonder: why people should develop as a person? For the sake of his sawed wife? Or not husband left her?




There are many different opinions on this matter.




The "bottom" of them sounds like "che, smartest up? "most "upper" is zamudio quote from some classic German philosopher.




And we, simple people, who in the middle, how to become developed personalities, and most importantly - why is it necessary?




I know for sure that the quantity and quality of higher education rather indirectly affect the development of personality.




Sometimes, in the back yard of the farm will meet such a fine poet and crystal respectable man that lecturers and professors of the academies of Sciences and never dreamed of.




Conversely, at the Department meeting some handsome scientist as will stand, as will appear immediately want back, in the back yard.




I also know that the level of welfare is not associated with the level of development of the person.




Money is not a measure of anything, it's great when they have it, and be ashamed, when they do not - but there are highly developed persons who "do not bother" on money, live like Socrates, in barrels, eating freshly caught fish and receive a reward for their high development of eternal glory and reprinting books before the end of the world.




Probably a developed personality


has two main characteristics.





First


She is able to empathize. Nature, history, animals, people, all and all, what should human empathy. The thinner and periuterine" people - so it is more developed.




Agree, the one who possesses that quality will never betray, purposely not hurt, does not fail, will always come to help because he knows how the others needed his help.





Second


A fully developed person always has wisdom. Experiencing, do not roll down in tears and tantrums. Sympathy, does not lie and does not hide the truth.




Anyway - because of his wisdom always knows the output.




Even a prisoner in a very famous and very wise prayer: "Lord, give me strength to endure what I cannot change. Give me strength to change what I cannot endure. And give me the wisdom to distinguish the first from the second."




Honestly, I don't know other ways to the development of personality, in addition to a good read and useful conversations with family and friends.




Probably, there are many ways to develop and grow - who knows, please share.




One thing is clear: do we really need it.




It is necessary, because with a highly developed personality convenient and a good place to live.




Because next to this man and himself become a little bit better. And the good - and not only in fairy tales always triumphs over evil.
