We landed on Mars!

The Rover "Curiosity" (translated as "curious"), launched from Earth in late November of last year, made a successful landing on Mars.

NASA has already received the first black and white image transferred from the surface of the red planet.

We landed on Mars!

Shots the color of Mars, taken by the spacecraft must reach the control Center in the next few days.

Spacecraft landing was carried out in automatic mode, without the intervention of NASA.

For planting was selected Gale crater with a diameter of more than 150 kilometers.

The crater is a place on the planet where now winter ends and spring begins.

At this time, the winds can raise huge clouds of dust. A large dust storm was spotted this week at the distance of about 1000 km from the proposed landing site.

However, as evidenced by the first shot, the weather on Mars is quite quiet.
