Screenings of the film festival, as well as the opening ceremony and the closing will be held at St. Sophia square. Special social programme, organized jointly with the United Nations, as well as the music program of the festival and the retrospective will be held at the Golden Gate (inside the historic complex).
"Highlight" of Third Kyiv international film festival will be the desire to unite the two art forms: film and music. Best film of the competition program will be determined by audience voting.

For the first time in the framework of the film festival will run experimental creative production workshop, which will consist of 8 international film student groups under the guidance of filmmakers from 8 countries of the world. To oversee the project took Moldovan directed by Valeriu Jereghi, whose film "Arrivederci" stunned and captivated millions of viewers, winning 12 prestigious awards at European film festivals.
Directly during the festival students of film studies with recognized masters of cinema will create 10 competition belts on the topic "Love and music", judged by a jury of short films.
Further, based on these novels will be born full-length movie called "Love and music" produced by Kyiv international film festival.
