Tarator


TaratorTaratara in Bulgaria called cold soup, which is so nice refreshing in the summer heat. The combination of simple yogurt, cucumbers, garlic, dill - almost like Greek tzatziki, but there is one important difference, which makes tarator tartalom: walnuts. This relationship with Greek food, by the way, not surprisingly - similar versions of the soup are the other peoples of the Balkans. But to draw Parallels between taratara and our hash I'd warned: this hash is not cooked with yogurt, only with kvass, and white - but this is a topic for another article...



Ingredients (2 servings):


2 servings




- 400 ml of yogurt (can substitute yogurt or yogurt)


- 300g cucumber


- 1 bunch of dill


- 4 tbsp chopped walnuts


- 3 cloves of garlic


- 2 tbsp olive oil


- Sol


- pepper





Method of preparation:


Slice cucumbers into cubes, lightly season with salt and place in a colander to Sol pulled out of cucumbers excess water. Crush the garlic (preferably in a mortar with a pinch of sea salt), chop the dill, stir yogurt until smooth and, if desired, dilute with water to desired consistency.




Mix the cucumbers, dill and garlic, pour yogurt, yogurt or kefir and store in the refrigerator to tarator how podmorozitj (if you don't want to wait long, you can add ice). Before serving, season with tarator black pepper, sprinkle with chopped walnuts, drizzle with olive oil and enjoy the pleasant coolness of this delicious soup is originally from the Balkans.
