In the study scientists involved 40 women, one half of which was attended by 400, 600 and 800 mg Polyphenon E twice daily for six months, and the other half a placebo. During this period, the researchers analyzed blood and urine samples of all participants. Scientists have found that taking Polyphenon E affects the number of molecular pathways that are interconnected with the distribution, growth and metastasis of tumors.
According to experts, it is not enough to apply the components of green tea in the treatment of breast cancer, but there is hope that further research will help to develop methods of treatment using the components of the drink.
