From 28 April to September in Speyside takes time for festivals, and hundreds of thousands of tourists flock from all over the world to taste the whiskey. The first starts The Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival. Followed Feis Ile - a festival of Malt and Music. And so on until September, when it starts last Autumn Speyside Whisky Festival.
Speyside is the place where the highest density of vibrocores in the world. Plants which produce the famous drink there more than 100. By the way, only during festivals every tourist has a unique opportunity to visit one of the factories.
Speyside is also called the valley of the river Spey. Its water historically used by the distilleries. As raw material is water streams that run down in the Spey from the surrounding Heather hills.
The main centres of production of whiskey in the region are the city of Elgin, Mouth, Dufftown and Keith.
The festival program that recognize local elixir of life, fun contests, receptions and dinners in vibrocore, Scottish parties with music and dancing, special menus in restaurants, various contests and competitions, fashion show kilt (Scottish skirts, visit the Museum of Whiskey and a competition for the fastest construction barrels, exhibitions and evenings of Scottish folk music.
