Mysterious underwater pyramid in Japan
The island of Yonaguni is located in the West of Japan. Yonaguni became famous in the mid-80 x when divers discovered a mysterious underwater rocky terraces and pyramids with sharp corners. Still, there is debate, but no one knows what secrets are fraught with island. Scientists are inclined to believe that these pyramids were artificially created many years ago by an unknown civilization which has disappeared from the face of the earth.
Mysterious underwater pyramid of Yonaguni island off the coast of Japan is still subject to controversy - this natural phenomenon, or the creation of man? If Yonaguni monument created - this will dramatically change the history of mankind. The history of these underwater pyramids begins with 1986, when divers discovered an unusual formation rocks at a depth of 25 meters under water. It was the rock in the form of even stepped terraces, pyramids and platforms. One of the highest of the pyramids was 600 feet wide and 90 feet in height.
On stone blocks were traces of handling and cutting, which confirms the theory of the scientists that the Yonaguni monument is not a natural formation, and created artificially. Masaki Kimura - marine geologist from the University Japan studies underwater pyramid for over 15 years. Scientists believe that this place over five thousand years, but flooded it was 2 thousand years ago during the earthquake.
Other scientists believe that this structure is much older, including Teruaki Ishii, Professor of Geology, University of Tokyo. He determined that the immersion of the terraces under the water occurred at the end of the last ice age - about 10 thousand years ago. In this case, the age of the pyramids Yonaguni is twice more than the Egyptian pyramids. Interestingly, the number of the artifacts found were about the same on land and under water. Near the pyramid was discovered carved stone head of a man, on which was carved the many unknown characters. It is hard to imagine that this is a natural formation.
Edition of the Japan Times has added to the intrigue by typing the legend of the island of Yonaguni:
“There is a land of Gods, called Nirai-Kanai, there live the ancient gods is unknown distant place is a source of happiness for the whole world”
The opposite point of view was held by Robert SOC Professor of mathematics at Boston University. He believed that the Yonaguni pyramid formed naturally - so tried nature. According to him, this is a natural tectonic activity, which is evidenced by the photo below, which is similar formation on land, created by nature. There is also the possibility that the monument was formed naturally, but then was treated people. SOC adhered to this opinion before met with Kimura. The arguments Kimura more familiar with the features of the monument, is strongly influenced by the opinion of SOCA. Moreover, the arguments were backed up by photos of details, which SOC during their dives simply did not see him, as he sank only a few times.
With all the similarities rocks Yonaguni, between them there are very strong differences. In a limited area of the Monument right next to each other are elements of totally different types. For example: a face with sharp edges, round hole, a stepped descent, perfectly straight, narrow trench. If the reason was only natural erosion, it was logical to expect the same forms throughout piece of rock. The fact that side by side are so many different elements, is a strong argument in favor of their artificial origin. Here is an example of one of these entities under the name Turtle.
The following argument: blocks, separated from the rock, does not lie where they ought to fall under the action of gravity. Instead, they are either gathered in one place, or non-existent. If the object was created by erosion, at the bottom next to him would be a lot of debris, as at the present shores of the island. And here it is not.
Moreover, very close, just a few tens of meters on the same rock, the same rock - a completely different landscape. What he created nature, undoubtedly. But even with the naked eye you can see its a sharp contrast to the treated part of the rock
The meeting of two professional geologists had to Yonaguni monument literally epoch-making significance. If previously SOC had the version of the nature of the object, Kimura insisted on completely artificial its origin. As a result of consideration of all available facts both specialists agreed on a kind of "compromise", the two of rejecting the extreme points of view. They concluded that the Monument belongs to the so-called "Terra-units, i.e. the initial natural "billet" was later modified and improved by human hands. Such formations are not uncommon, they were quite common in the ancient world...
"After meeting with Professor Kimura wrote later, SOC, I cannot completely exclude the possibility that the Yonaguni monument, at least partially processed and altered by human hands. Professor Kimura pointed to a number of important elements that I had not seen during my first, brief visit...".
However, Yonaguni monument was not recognized by the Japanese government cultural heritage to protect and be protected, although the existence of the stone-fishing on the island proved. this is confirmed by the ancient catacombs of indeterminate age.
