Bulgarian capital Sofia has been recognized as the cheapest city for tourists in Europe.
A list of the cheapest cities in the European BackPacker Index was based on data about the cost of accommodation, transport, entertainment, food and drinks in 40 European cities. Also take into account the cost of tickets to tourist sites.
Sofia, as the authors of the list, is becoming more popular thanks to the low prices on almost everything." However, the authors also note that the remote places of the city can be dangerous for travelers.
According to the calculations of website visitors to travel to Sofia, you need to have about 30 BGN (€15) per day, including 14 lions (7 Euro) accommodation in a cheap and nice hostel, 10 BGN (5 euros) on food, not including Breakfast, 2 levs (1 Euro) for transport and 5 leva (2, 5 euros) at additional costs.
Second place in the ranking given to the Polish Krakow, followed by Bucharest. Fourth place went to Istanbul, on the fifth - Budapest. The top ten also got Warsaw, St. Petersburg, Prague, Zagreb and Moscow.
The last ten seats occupied Vienna, Rome, Venice, Brussels and Paris. The most expensive place for tourists recognized Zurich.
