Smoking can lead to urinary incontinence

Smoking can lead to urinary incontinenceSmoking harms not only the respiratory and cardiovascular system, but also the bladder.

According to scientists from Finland, now women have another motivation in order to say goodbye to Smoking.

The survey of 2,000 women between the age from 18 to 79 years showed that women who smoke are much more likely to urinate than those who did not smoke and the interval between visits to the toilet they may constitute less than two hours.

This condition is typical for overactive bladder syndrome (main symptoms are frequent urination, and muscle pain in the bladder). It should be noted that a direct relationship of Smoking and frequent trips to the toilet can not be traced and while there is no consensus, which mechanism is due to area causes problems bladder, but statistics prove this fact. 10% of all interviewed women suffer from frequent urination.

As a rule, such as cancer risk smokers are seen as distant and not always mandatory consequence of Smoking. But frequent urges to urinate in the toilet may become a more important argument for the rejection of cigarettes.
