Jimi Hendrix topped the list of the best rock guitarists in history according to the American journal Rolling Stonepasses Reuters. The list included musical experts and well-known contemporary guitarists.
?Rolling Stone quotes the winner of the "Grammy", guitarist Tom Morello Tom Morello from Rage Against the Machine and Audioslave, who says Hendrix blew our understanding of rock music".
Morello leads "Purple Haze" and "The Star-Spangled Banner" as a composition, which is especially apparent inherent Hendrix freedom of improvisation and possession of an instrument.
Second in the ranking was Eric Clapton (Cream and the Yardbirds), the third - Jimmy page (Led Zeppelin), the fourth - Keith Richards (Rolling Stones).
Among the guitarists involved in compiling the list, were lenny Kravitz (Lenny Kravitz), Eddie van Halen, eventually won it in the eighth place, Brian may (Brian May) and Dan Auerbach (Dan Auerbach) from the American Blues-rock band the Black Keys.
