Women who make the choice in favor of bright makeup, have a greater attraction for men, but the opposite sex believes them much less, according to American and British researchers.
Researchers conducted an experiment in which volunteers were men considered different images which portrayed women. The shots were women who had different amounts of makeup.
Subjects had to assess the intelligence, beauty, and confidence to the ladies in the photo. As it turned out, the greatest trust in men caused women who had no makeup. Study participants believed painted women more beautiful, but the confidence they caused much less.
The impression was also dependent on the time during which the men looked in the photos. The longer the man looked at the photo, the more beautiful he thought the painted woman, and the smaller amount of trust he felt for her.
